Standard Spanish Courses (2 - 16 weeks):

2 weeks: from €296
4 course levels - beginner, intermediate, advanced I and advanced II
4 lessons daily each one lasting 50 minutes
2 hours of grammar and 1hr 30mins of conversational Spanish to get you talking
Maximum of 8 students per class

Timetable:

Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 13:30 with a half-hour break at 11:30
Each group has a grammar teacher and a different teacher for the conversation class after the break

Intensive Spanish Courses (2 - 16 weeks):

2 weeks: From Euros 570
4 course levels - beginner, intermediate, advanced I and advanced II
(Please ask us about start dates of courses for complete beginners)
Same as standard Spanish course, with an extra 5 hours of private lessons / week, which can be customised at the student's request

Timetable:

Monday to Friday 09:30 - 14:45 with a half-hour break at 11:30 and 15 min at 13:30.
Maximum of 8 students per class.
Each group has a grammar teacher and a different teacher for the conversation class after the break. For the private classes there might be another change of teacher.
The number of private classes can be increased individually at the request of the student. These lessons can be used for special needs like Business Spanish, literature etc.

Private Spanish Lessons:

26 Euro / hour
With a customised learning program at the student's request
The student decides the number of classes to take. The timetable can be arranged between the teacher and the student
Spanish classes can start at any time. Hours as per agreement
The private classes normally take place between Monday and Friday. However, upon special agreement and an extra charge, classes can also be taken on Saturdays
A free tutorial service is included as well as an evening activity organised by the school once a week

DELE: Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language:

D.E.L.E is the only globally accredited diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language. The Instituto Cervantes sets the exam in cooperation with the University of Salamanca for the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science.
The exam can be taken at 3 different levels if you so wish:

1st level: Nivel inicial

Certifies the linguistic competence of the candidate to understand everyday situations linguistically and to react adequately as well as expressing basic wishes and needs. This level equals B1 according to the European Reference Framework.

2nd level: Nivel intermedio

Certifies the linguistic competence of the candidate to communicate without difficulty in everyday situations on a colloquial level without using a special terminology of the Spanish language.

3rd level: Nivel superior

Certifies the linguistic competence of the candidate to communicate in situations that require a more sophisticated level plus a good knowledge of the Spanish habits which are expressed therein.

Each exam consists of 5 tests, which are organised into 3 groups. To pass the exam, every candidate must pass in all three groups with at least a 70% of the maximum number of points to be reached.

Candidates are free to take the exam either in Spain or in their own country. For students of the Escuela Hispalense the nearest cities where the exam can be taken are Cadiz or Malaga.
All necessary documents for the enrolment can be obtained at the reception desk of the Spanish language school Hispalense. Please note that enrolment must be done at least 5 weeks prior to the exam date.

Brush-up Your Spanish:

1 week (20 hours): 200 Euro
This Spanish language course is recommended for advanced levels.

Timetable:

Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 13:30 with a half-hour break at 11:30
4 lessons daily each lasting 50 minutes
The main focus in this "Brush-up" Spanish course is the repetition of Spanish grammar using articles from the daily press (newspapers, magazines).
Grammar and conversation are practised at the same time so students gain all-round confidence.
This course can be combined with the D.E.L.E preparation course.
Maximum of 8 people per class
Two teachers are responsible for each class. After the break the teachers change round

Accommodation Options:

1) Plainly furnished apartments
Shared with 2-6 other students. Prices start from 122 Euros / week, single room)

2) Reconstructed convent in the old city centre
Prices start from 35 Euros / night depending on the season and room type

3) Apartments situated directly at the beach, suitable for 2-4 people
prices start from 65 Euros / day in low season to 105 Euros / day in high season

4) Small studios & apartments directly in or close to the old city centre for up to 4 people
(prices start from 50 Euros / day in winter to 100 Euros / day in high season

5) Hostfamilies
Half-board single room from 375 Euros for 2 weeks to 560 Euros for a double room.

We are happy to discuss accommodation issues in advance and provide you with advice about the various options. This way we hope to avoid disappointments upon arrival, since changing apartments especially during high season is hardly ever possible
