Location information:

Located on the Cesme Peninsula, opposite the Greek island of Chios and on the same latitude as Athens, Alacati is a nice water sports spot on Turkey's Aegean shores.

Until recently Alacati was a sleepy little village populated by fishermen, craftsmen and farmers. Now they share it with many enthusiastic Windsurfers and Kitesurfers.




The combination of consistent winds and a safe, nearly 500m long and 400m wide shallow section with completely flat water makes Alacati an attractive destination for learning to Windsurf & Kitesurf, for intermediates, speed and freestyle experts, for kids and adults.

• The Shaka guesthouse is located on a hill above the bay of Alacati with astonishing views
• The guesthouse is about 300 metres before One Resort Ephesus. You can easily walk from the guesthouse to Club Mistral in 5 minutes and the harbour is also nearby

• Alacati is also known as "Turkey's St. Tropez" and its historical centre with its cafes and pleasant patios is very inviting
• Nearby Cesme offers a number of stores and boutiques in case you feel like a stroll and a bit of window shopping.

Getting to Alacati, Turkey:

• Fly to Istanbul and take internal flight with Turkish Airlines to Izmir
• Fly to Izmir Airport

Coming from Izmir Airport:

• Leave the airport and follow the sign to IZMIR at the first fork in the road
• Drive in this direction for about 12km (lots of lights and intersections - but stay on this road)
• After about 12km, follow the sign marked "CESME"
• Stay on the motorway feeder road and continue to follow the signs to CESME
• After the toll station, it is about 70km to ALACATI
• Take exit marked ALACATI
• Toll: 1,500,000 TL (approx. 1 €)
• After the toll station, there is a roundabout; follow sign to ALACATI
• The road ascends a hill and goes past Alacati to a side-street on the left. Take this street and follow the signs marked "Majestic Süzer Hotel"
• After 6 km, you will arrive at the Club Mistral / Skyriders centre on the left, which is also signposted on the road
