Location information:

El Yaque is the most famous town of Isla Margarita, an offshore island of Venezuela, located 38km North-East of Venezuela and 90 miles West of Trinidad & Tobago, far from the path of Atlantic tropical storms.

In recent years, El Yaque has become a world renowned water sports Mecca, producing home grown talent like multiple world Windsurfing champion Gollito Estredo. The reason for this - the outstanding wind & conditions for training and perfecting Windsurfing & Kitesurfing skill.

Wind is funnelled between Margarita and the neighbouring islands creating strong and constant wind, which combined with thermals creates reliably good conditions for Kitesurfing & Windsurfing.

• The Kitesurfing zone is upwind of the Windsurf zone, with a small kite launching & landing zone in the lee of the small hill at the up-wind end of the beach
